The above link will take you to a letter that triggered this whole grade tampering issue. It was acquired through the Freedom of Information Act and passed on to me. It is a perfect example of how the NBCCC works. To my knowledge this person has no children in either the High School or Jerome Harrison, yet she gives the impression that she full knowledge of these issues. What she does have, is misinformation and a vendetta against the Board of Education. This campaign of vengeance has now cost the tax payer double, once for an investigation at the local level and the second at the state level and to what ends. Two reports virtually interchangeable with the exact same conclusions. Not to mention dragging our town through the mud because their end justifies their means. The NBCCC now complains about Board legal fees and they are in fact directly responsible for at least 2 of these expenditures and who knows how many indirectly.

I wasn't going to post a comment because I'm enjoying the fact that no one has responded to any of your recent posts. This may even be a waste of my time since obviously no one is reading your POS blog anymore, but here goes:

FALSE. The Channel 8 report came out on May 17th after months of preparation. This letter was sent on May 25th, after it was made public that the AG was doing his own investigation. So you are once again showing ignorance and a lack of research.

You should refrain from saying "to my knowledge", since you obviously have so little. Since when is having children in a particular school the sole qualifier for having knowledge of issues there? Unlike you, some people get up off their butts and do some research.

The investigations both show that grades were tampered with. The fact that the investigations were done, had high costs, and dragged our town through the mud is because once again Wolfe did something wrong and got caught. Not because a parent wrote a letter after the fact.

Again, Wolfe and only Wolfe is responsible for legal fees. And again, do some research. How many billable hours did he rack up with BD&M in 2007? Do an FOI on that. Or save some time and call Don Winnicki. How many billable hours (at $400/hr or more) were spent defending Wolfe against people who were trying to get an education for their child? Go do your homework, Joe! If you're going to write in public where everyone can see get your facts together first so you don't look like such a moron.
It's hard to believe that people keep defending this guy when he has wasted so much of our money and made the name of North Branford a mockery in CT. What exactly is it about him that makes it so important to keep him? He must be providing valuable commodities to the people who make the decisions in this town. No worry though, this election should get rid of a bunch of them.

May 25th.....How could you possibly know that? Let me see. You either wrote it or you know who wrote it. Is it possible that you and or one of your dirty dozen contacted Channel 8 in Feb? Nah, I can feel the love emanating from you.
I always call the High School to check my child's progress at TVES. Then I pass whatever information, by whoever approaches me, on as the truth because it is so constructive. Why go to the source, they lie.
We agree on one thing. It looks like 2, possibly 3 grades were changed and Dr. Wolfe is ultimately responsible because he is the Superintendent and the buck stops with him. But why stop there, if your goal is 100% graduation? This is clearly an act of favoritism and in my opinion that is more likely to have been perpetrated by someone who lives in town and has more personal relationships with parents and students. That SOB in Central Office does nothing for anyone.
The BoE is the policy and fiscal body. THEY are responsible for legal fees. If a complaint or suit is filed the Board is obligated to protect the town from loss. I haven’t heard of any judgments against them so either they have some slick lawyers or they follow the law. We know what side of that issue you’re on.
The difference between you and me is that I don’t take rumors and hearsay and present them as facts. I try to make an informed opinion from the facts that I have.
I won’t even address your last paragraph, it says enough by itself.

I don't care who or why the letter was written. I... I don't care who or why the letter was written. I do care about the types of leaders we have in our town. If my tax money was spent to investigate a possible violation of school power - then that was money well spent. Wolfe needed to be brought down from his high horse and possible sweat a little. I am tired of all the "issues", and I am tired of all the "politics." It is a shame that if you don't have a certain last name in this town, you don't get anywhere.
That person needs to get a life and move on. This Superintendent stuff is getting old. If that person did thier homework and looked at the facts they would see that our schools have been getting better every year. Thats all that matters to me. Kudos to our teacher and administrators and YES Dr. Wolfe too.
$400 an hr. Get real. That just show your lack of research. Any large institution will get a discount on rates. My guess would be half that number. You really need to get a life. If you're going to lie and tell stories, at least be good at it.
I'll refrain from saying 'to my knowledge' if anonymous (#1)refrains from mentioning 'research' like they have done some. Maybe I'll cut and paste that comment and make it a feature post. If if anonymous (#1) would like to write something I will give it a feature post as long as you don't slander anyone. You can slander me if you want. Up to it?

Yes, your right, lets not martyr a "whistle blower" instead lets make sure that this problems don't come to light. Things like wire tapping, and torture, Shoosh thats dangerous.
